Alan Kavanaugh

Alan Kavanaugh, BA, CRM, CCPI is Director of Loss Control & Risk Management at Noratek Solutions Inc. in Prince George. Since 1986, Alan has provided risk-management services to pulp mills, sawmills, school districts, school divisions, and municipalities throughout western Canada. He has specialized training and experience in fire-protection system analysis, playground audits, and in developing fire-safety plans. Before working with Noratek, Alan worked at Suncorp Valuations and previously as an independent risk-management consultant, as a loss-prevention engineer with Lumbermen’s Underwriting Alliance and, prior to that, he was a tank-troop commander in the Canadian Armed Forces. He’s been presenting educational workshops, seminars for various organizations throughout his career including various national and international trade shows, conferences and professional development seminars. He is an active member of the NFPA and ASTM. A voting member for the NFC (National Fire code) as well as the CSA standard committee Z614 – Playgrounds. When Alan isn’t working he’s involved with several volunteer organizations in Prince George, BC. He likes to go for long walks with his Wife Holly and enjoys reading.

Dustin Terreault has recently joined the Noratek team as an Account Executive. He brings 5 years of Sales & customer service and 11 years management & supervisor experience.

Dustin is extremely passionate, and prides himself on providing exceptional customer service and doing the right thing for his clients. He is known amongst his peers as a hardworking individual who enjoys going the extra mile to ensure his customers needs and goals are met. Dustin is an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and tries to volunteer as much time as possible to helping veterans in and around his neighborhood. He is a certified PADI Rescue Diver and hopes to continue his education in scuba diving once his kids have grown up. Dustin likes to spend most of his free time with his wife and two young daughters enjoying the great outdoors.

Pamela Liu, BSc has been part of the CityReporter team for 10 years, providing support and training to customers across Canada and the US. With 21 years of experience in website and web app development, she also contributes to the design and testing of new features. She is uniquely positioned to gather customer feedback and convey their needs to the software developers.

Pam is an amateur musician and looks forward to performing live again when venues reopen.

Patrick Roy

Patrick Roy, is a senior IT leader with over 25 years of experience driving teams to get the most out of technology, applications and infrastructure. He has a strong belief in continuous learning and fact-based analysis and assessment. He is driven by the desire to find a balance between a cost-effective solution and optimizing the user experience.  He started his career in AI and Database software development then moved through IT infrastructure and IT application support before landing in IT management focusing on acquisition integration, audit controls and systems implementation and support.

He has experience with enterprise architecture and hands on experience with financial, maintenance, GIS, payroll and forestry and manufacturing systems as well as electronics, artificial Intelligence and machine learning.

He is an advocate for DevOps, MLOps, test automation, IT Service management, and training and has training and certifications in ITIL and ITSM, and TOGAF.

He enjoys reading, math and keeping up on the latest technology as well as running, kayaking and snowboarding. He can often be found starting his day on a walk with his dogs.

Steven Findlay is a senior systems architect with over 25 years’ experience of which 22 years have been running Noratek, he is a passionate technologist who focuses on the user experience and business process flows. Demonstrating his industry expertise Steven has presented at prestigious events such as Oracle Open World, International Oracle User Group and BlackBerry Java Developer World. On a day-to-day basis Steven is immersed in running Noratek, working closely with the development and sales team to make sure CityReporter meets the client’s needs of today and into the future. Steven is a long standing Rotarian and is community minded, he has sat on numerous boards over the years such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Prince George Hospice Society. When Steven isn’t at work, he is enjoying all that lake life has to offer!

Her passion for business combined with her creative mindset continuously brings fresh ideas to our company. Tiara develops and manages digital marketing strategies including our Webinar Program. She has 13+ years of experience in hospitality and sales, which provided her with a well-rounded background fueled by compassion and drive. In addition, her degree in International Business Strategy has enabled her with market research skills, soft skills, and leadership skills. When she is not in her home office, you’ll find her hiking the mountains with her dog.
